hypoglycemia, my new best friend

I’m pretty sure that I’ve had hypoglycemia for years, and that’s been part of my problem. If I eat carbs, pretty much in any quantity, I feel like crap. Also, this means I shouldn’t eat any sugar, artificial sweeteners, or drink alcohol (the last one is the hardest. eek!). I’ve tried to start this plan so many times, but it makes eating out with friends very difficult. But, on the other hand, I’ve been told that if I eat what my body really needs, then I’ll lose weight like crazy. Awesome!

So, I’ll be going an unconventional route, but hopefully it’ll really work. It’s lots of snacks like nuts, pistachios, and cheese. And eating small meals all throughout the day instead of the conventional three.

So yeah, here we go.

stay tuned for something new and different

I started this blog with a completely different purpose over two years ago. It’s back from the dead now, basically because I liked the domain name. Everything else is different. I hate the first post of a new blog, I think they’re always ridiculous, and make all of these promises about what the blog will be about. Well, I’ll do some of that, too. There’s really no way around it.

Basically, I’ve gained quite a bit of weight in the past few years, and I haven’t been happy with my appearance for a long time. I guess I haven’t been motivated enough to do anything about it, and I definitely haven’t had the accountability I should if I’m going to change the things I don’t like. All of that ends today. Tomorrow is June 1st, and I’m going to start 30 Day Shred and a new diet. I definitely need the regimen that I think both of those, combined with the blog can provide.  I won’t put up hard numbers, but my plan is to post once a day about what I’ve done as far as working out and dieting. Hopefully this can help me!

Not to tie myself down to one thing, I’m sure I’ll be posting other things, too.
